On May 25th, 2020, George Floyd was brutally murdered by an officer of the Minneapolis police department, Derek Chauvin. Since then, many people have taken action to demand justice for Floyd, as well as the countless others who have been taken from this world far too early.

We, as AB Samahan, stand in solidarity with the Black community. We hope to spread awareness and take action against the blatant racism that runs rampant in this so-called "great nation." We cannot stand idly by as this country continues to terrorize black bodies and silence the voices of any and all who dare to speak up and fight.

Here you will find resources where you can sign petitions, donate for a cause, and be a part of the change.

Junk Terror Bill

Philippine House of Representatives and Senate have passed Senate Bill 1082, which is also known as the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020. If President Duterte signs this into law, the government has the ability to label any group or individual as terrorists. This law greatly limits the freedom of speech and endangers our kababayan in the Philippines.

Activism is Not Terrorism

We are a San Diego State University Filipinx Organization! This organization is based on the beliefs of Andrés Bonifacio, who fought for Filipino independence in the late 19th century, to support educational enrichment and advancement through preserving, and increasing the awareness of the Filipinx and Filipinx American cultures through organized leadership, academic learning, and political and community involvement.
