Hi there!

 

My name is Kayla Mari Vale Cruz, but you can call me Kayla! My pronouns are she/her/hers and I’m AB Samahan’s ‘21-’22 Treasurer. My responsibility is to oversee all the financial affairs for Samahan.

 

I’m a third year Chemistry major with a minor in General Biology, and on the pre-pharmacy path. I’ve lived in San Diego my whole life, but there are still places I have yet to see! If you ask around the organization, there are two things that people will tell you: I have a dog named Gus and my favorite animals are penguins. Ask me about my dog or penguins if you see me and I’ll be more than happy to talk to you about them both!

 

Some actual hobbies of mine include reading when I get a chance (I’d admit I do love a good YA book), playing video games, listening to music (almost all genres), and binge watching crime shows. I’m really excited to see many of you this upcoming school year! Get ready to make some new friends and memories with us :) Most importantly, come on out and experience some of our biggest events - KAA, HSC, and FACN -that reflect our 4 pillars!
