hey, what’s up, hello y’all,

 

I am Camille Rose Del Rosario Guangco, I go by she/her pronouns and I am a second year Business Marketing major who serves as the Andres Bonfacio Samahan Funding Coordinator for the 2021 to 2022 school year. As the Funding Coordinator I am in charge of making sure that our organization is receiving income in order to financially support all of our expenses. To accomplish this I create, plan and execute various fun and creative fundraisers. I also collaborate with the Treasurer to maintain these finances as well.

 

I was born and raised in San Diego, more specifically Paradise Hills, SIX ONE NINE rise up, you already know what it is. My hobbies and interests include video games, anime, food and singing. I grew up playing games such as Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft. However, I’ve been going in and out of gaming phases. My last one consisted of too many hours and dollars spent on Valorant. I also used to stream on Twitch, @camamaille give me a follow. I am very into anime, my favorites being Horimiya, Maid-Sama, Attack on Titan and Naruto. I personally enjoy casually singing a lot, but I wouldn’t say I’m great at it so don’t be disappointed. 

 

With the upcoming school year/term being in person, I can say that I am most definitely excited to meet and interact with other human beings. I am also ready to take in person classes once again as I find it very difficult to concentrate and get things done in the online environment. Additionally, when it comes to Samahan I am definitely excited for Filipino-American Culture Night and hosting many fundraisers for everyone to enjoy. 

 

In my time in Samahan I have experienced feelings of togetherness and belonging more than I have ever experienced. I was able to meet many other Filipino Americans and even learned, understood and immersed myself within my culture. What I am most thankful for is the Kuya Ate Ading Program a.k.a. KAA, as the connections I’ve made there will be ones I know I will cherish as time passes. I am proud to say that this organization has not only brought me closer to my culture than ever, but connections which surpass that of family. Samahan is my home away from home.

 

On a final note, I really hope to see you whether that be online, in person on campus or some other place. I like making friends so never feel shy to reach out! :)
