Kamusta sa iyong lahat!
My name is Jason Esguerra and I am one of Andres Bonifacio Samahan's Co-Culturals for the 2017-2018 academic year. I am a second year Nursing major currently attending San Diego State University. I was born in the Philippines and have only lived in San Diego for 5 years. I joined Samahan to further extend my network of friends and be more in touch with the Filipino Culture. I am a very charismatic and I love to socialize with people. I love to explore and take photographs of landscapes and nature. I like to travel because I suffer from wanderlust. I actually have this huge bucket lists of places that I want to go to and I've gone so far to actually drive a solid eight hours straight to go to one of these places. I'm also car fanatic, most notably in terms of car design. The type of music I listen to vary between simp music to blappers. Im here for a good time, not a long time.
My name is Mariel Lyn Velicaria, but you can call me Mar! I am a fourth year speculative design student at UC San Diego. I have been a part of Andres Bonifacio Samahan since my freshman year at southwestern college in the fall of 2014, and have been an active member since. Now, I am proud to be one of the Co-Cultural Coordinators for this year! My goal this year is to learn alongside our members and our communities as we discover our identities as Philippine/Philippine - Americans. I want our members to learn more about who they are, where they came from, and why it matters. Will you come along this journey with me? <3
Besides being one of the CoCos, I also focus on art. Any and all types of art, visual or performing, any media and form. Art is everything to me and has always been since I was basically born. So, if you want to talk about literally anything involving Philippine/Pil - Am culture and/or the Arts, contact me on facebook or come up to me in person!
